The Prairie Progressive welcomes unsolicited submissions. 800 words (one printed page) is ideal, but briefer or slightly longer will be considered. Our preferred format is Word, but Google docs or email are acceptable.
We only print content written specifically for The Prairie Progressive. Articles written for other publications will be considered if accompanied by “an earlier version of this article appeared in ______” or something similar.
We welcome opinion pieces of all kinds, first-person accounts of events or meetings, satire, poetry, book reviews, movie reviews, rants and screeds, personal memoirs, announcements of upcoming political or cultural activities, and responses (favorable or critical) to Prairie Progressive articles.
The author or content should have at least a tenuous connection to Iowa or the Midwest.
